    Help with facet pump needed.

    Hi

I took my Facet ( bendix look alike ) a part to check the filter... so all those part came out, can someone tell me if the piston with the magnet in one end have to go up in the pump with the magnet first or with the magnet downward against the filter? the other end of the piston is hollow.

I also think the parts inside look strange compared to other facet pumps? when I bought it, it was yellow zink outside incl. the sticker fitted, bought from ebay , seller from australian.

    I have painted it silver.

    thanks
    Lars

Aircraft Spruce (AircraftSpruce.com) sells new Facet pumps for less than $100. My advice: buy a new one, as it appears that you are missing a retaining ring which prevents the internals from falling out. There are also at least two types of filter: a fine mesh type and a porous cylinder, which can become fouled and impossible to clean.
