1966 911 engine FIRST START IN 33 YEARS

I recently bought a barn find 66, original and complete, the previous owner parked the car in his garage in 1980, can members please offer their advice for trying to start the motor for the first time in 35 years, procedures, what to do and not do etc...Thanks. The car was running well when last parked. I'm sure there are threads, but I couldn't find them here.
PS: In no way am I a mechanic, I will need someone's assistance in Souther California, any suggestions?

The list is long and arduous. I'd take it to a professional. After all, it only costs about $15-$20,000 to rebuild one.

    Good luck.

I would listen to the advice from Tom above. Here is a thread addressing the topic(see ed mayo's response):

TLG is good advice indeed. I've done motorcycles but the downside was so insignificant it really wasn't much of a crap shoot. I've had bikes with virtually no compression that came back to run very well.
