    Corvair at all time high

Wow. All the way up to $20k?

When someone gives you a car for free and you're still upside down in it by the start of the upholstery stage, you must really have some great memories you're trying to re-live.

I get it though: Those dad's who still had a bitter taste about WW2 but loved the air-cooled idea put their kids in a fair share of these.

I learned to drive in my grandmothers Corvair. Black with a red interior. It was a 61 or a 62. Then I had a 65. Much tail happier than any 911.

Why the Pavlov's Dog response to a non-political article? It was written by Rob Sass at Hagerty Insurance and reflects my own Corvair experience precisely. My wife bought one 4-5 years ago and it is currently for sale with an expected increase in sale price of 50% to 75% with no expenditures on repairs or restoration.

    Humorous.

The comment oozed sarcasm. And since that is my first language I recognized it right away.

I count a '66 Corvair Corsa Turbo Convertible among my modest collection of air cooled cars:
