Correct Radio for a 1971 Targa

The 1971 Targa I recently purchased came from the factory without a radio, the only change the first owner did was to install an aftermarket cass/radio in the mid 70's. I like to pull that radio and replace with a factory correct.
Which radio is correct and who sells them?

You're looking for a C series Blaupunkt Frankfurt. They come up from time to time.

FYI, that particular radio is not the only one you might have gotten with a new 911. Here is a close up of the radio from my derelict '71 Targa. Name: IMG_6621.jpg

Yes those were available back then Motorola Sapphire but were installed by the US dealers, not factory. So your car must have come over with no radio or just AM radio and upgraded at the dealer to AM/FM.

Thanks Mike. I can't imagine why they would have used such a crappy looking radio, much less allowed them to get away with putting that magical word on the front of it.

I have a Frankfurt US that looks like Mike's but unless lighting up and humming is your idea of functionality, you'll be better off continuing your search.
