    Help about The Burt Collection

    Dear Porsche friends.
In November last year I bought a Lotus Europa project in Ebay from Paul J Burt in Illinois (The Burt Collection) and now I'm still waiting for the car and title; I'm really worried because it is almost impossible to communicate with that person.
I'm a Porsche lover as some of you already know but I wanted to experiment with this curious Lotus with Renaul engine.

Please can you help me with any information about the Lotus' vendor? Do you think it's normal to have to wait for more than 3 months to reach the title? I'm based in Spain and not used to US rules in this matter.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Since no one else has replied, I will give my 2 cents.. No, there is no reason you should have to wait anywhere near that long. I would be getting some legal advise ASAP. If you Google "The Burt Collection" you will find some other complaints about their business practices.
Good luck, hope it works out.

Thank you very much Mark. I've just have a positive answer from the vendor and I think we'll solve the situation although I still don't have the title; I don't know how to get it but I suppose it won't be too complícated.
I will write here about that, I suppose it will take a few more months to have the car in Spain but I'm a little bit more confident now.

I am close by the location of the "Burt Collection" I believe it is in Lake Bluff or Lake Forest, IL I have been inside the building as they have hosted a few PCA gatherings there for the Chicago Region. Let me know if I can help.

It's very kind of you Mike. I had a chat yesterday with Mr Burt and I'm more optimistic now. The problem was with the title. I'm talking with somebody from Houston who can help with it and ship the car to Europe. I will let you know if I need you.
I'm happy having these wonderful people around. Thank you again for your support.
