    Doortop restoration

    Hello everyone,

I was wondering whether someone on this forum has any experience with restoring doortops? The ones on my Porsche 911T 2.2 1970 are, as you can see in the pictures below, torn. The former owner apparently already tried to "restore" it but it was done in a very bad way. My goal is to cover the doortops with new vinyl. So if anyone has tips, they are very welcome!

Hard to tell from the photo. If the door top is in two pieces, look for a good used one. If not, it is pretty straight forward to recover. A piece of vinyl that matches best, hair dryer, contact cement, pony clamps, rubber mallet, etc etc. And patience or send it out to be done by a trim shop. ,
