    W: Early Porsche 911 1964-1965 & 1973 911S

    Hi there, I am a life long Porsche collector and enthusiast here in London UK.
    Amongst other Porsche and VW model I am actively searching for very early Porsche 911's to add to join my pack. Preferably 1964 1965 and potentially even an early original 1966 911's. Any condition considered. I also reward anyone that can help put me in touch with someone that has something that I may like.

    I am also looking for a highly original matching numbers 1972/3 911S or Carrera RS.
    I know I should join the que with everyone else looking for similar cars but I am a genuine enthusiast and collector. I already own a 73 RS and I am hoping to buy another.

    I will pay good money without no hassle, and will pay the right money for the right car, I travel around the world to locate the best of the best.
    I can handle all shipping arrangements for anything that I buy anywhere in the world.

    Please contact me with anything that you may even think that I would be interested in. I would love to hear from collectors alike.

    Thank you so much for your time,

    Sam

    Hey Sam,

    I have an highly original 73 E. Numbers matching, fresh engine, red with sunroof. Quicker than the S to 60 and would be cool to add to your collection to compare and contrast.

    let me know if interested.

    '. . . This exceptional two owner 1973 Porsche 911 S Coupe has only 42,953 original miles. What is even more remarkable is that the car has still its factory paint and it is in very nice condition. The car has lived its whole life in San Antonio, Texas where it was sold new to a doctor in 1973. Another doctor and substantial classic car collector at the same hospital purchased the car after the original owner traded it in for a new car. It has since then, only been driven very limited and had a very sheltered life. The car has the original driving lights and original sports seats and 16" chrome Fuchs wheels. Everything works and the car drives absolutely like it did when it was new. The interior, dash and carpet is all original and shows little or no wear. Front and rear bumpers has carefully been removed and repainted because of some stone chips that had damaged the original paint . . .'

    I'm the most recent owner. That old blurb above (written about 5 years ago) has the facts wrong as regards the previous owners, presumably because the person who wrote it didn't read through the car's history file properly first. The correct ownership history of this car is as detailed in the description of it on Paul Stephens' website here:
    http://www.paul-stephens.com/Porsche...rrived/car6795
    It's true there were two doctor owners, first a brain surgeon who bought it new and then (three owners later) a thoracic surgeon who was the car collector. However, in between the doctors there was also Billie Hobbs the well known American footballer, followed by a president of the Ameritas insurance Co, and then a particularly fastidious owner who had the car for 23 years and kept it well maintained through all those years but rarely drove it because he was "too afraid of scratching it". It's only ever had the one repaint, in 2011 after it arrived in the UK - a superficial job done mainly to deal with stone chips and minor blemishes. Thanks to the San Antonio climate the original factory underseal is still 99% intact and the car's never ever rusted. Never had any body repairs either. And yet, each of the owners it's had since it arrived in the UK has spent a small fortune (total in excess of £50k GBP) in the pursuit of perfecting the car cosmetically and mechanically (all new lights, rubber, interior, engine rebuild etc etc). I sorted pretty much all the remaining niggles (wrong 16" Fuchs had been on the car since 1976, carpet was wrong, some decals missing, a various bits and pieces). A very lucky car!

    How is it that this car has had 16" Fuchs wheels since 1976 and they weren't introduced till 1978?

    You may be right. There is an email in the history file written by the owner who purchased it in 1976 (and kept it for 23 years) in which he mentions that the only modification he ever made to the car was that he put the 16" wheels on it not long after he got it, and I assumed that this was 1976 but he could have meant 1978. It was in the 70's anyway!
