Early Becker Grand Prix Universal Mount

Here is an old universal mount three band GP with 1965-67 set screw style knobs and a stop-fluted face plate. Anyone seen this Grand Prix or fluted face plate in an early 911?

I have a scan of a September 1965 Porsche Accessories Brochure which lists only one Becker Radio, the Monte Carlo, but the September 1965 Porsche Accessories Price List includes more Becker radios:

    • MONTE CARLO TR/LM, AM long wave
    • EUROPA TR/LMKW, AM, long, FM and short wave
    • EUROPA, TR-M-U, AM/FM
    • MEXICO TR, AM/FM, medium, long and short wave, automatic station finder (US-Band 87-108 MHz)
    • MEXICO IR/US, AM/FM, long and short wave, automatic station finder

But, no Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/LW...

Of course, anybody could have bought a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/LW and put it in an early 911/912.

Thank you for the reply Jim. My car(August 30 '66 production) came with a Mexico but have not found an early one so may restore this one as a stop gap.

I just happened to be looking in Miller & Merritt and the reproduced September 1964 accessories catalog does show Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/LW radios as an option for the 356C.
