what's not going on in New York

I've been complaining in another thread about the barren NY scene. Apart from METRONYPCA organising a few rallyes (to which mainly more modern Porsches attend) and some great track day events there seems to be very little.

I am tempted to attempt to organise something and would like to find how many of you would be interested.

I am not thinking about yet another Long Island rallye. I'm thinking something more urban and gritty, Brooklyn waterfront. Coffee informal meet followed by a drive. Maybe open it up to other marques from 64-73

    Ideas and comments warmly welcomed

I have the same issue here in South Carolina. Just not that many early 911s out there. It is lonely. Not expected int eNYC area though. Good luck. You other SC, Southern Cali folks do have a great car scene. Hard to replicate in other areas

Yes, you may not have the numbers but I'm sure you have endless roads to open it up- it's a give and take

As for this NY meet, I'm in but would prefer something with decent roads rather than traffic & Fuchs-destroying potholes (although they are admittedly all over the place around here). Lower Westchester/CT, Brooklyn, Queens (close to Nassau border) may be possibilities. Also, don't know too much about it but that large Orchard Beach parking lot in the Bronx right off the Hutch is another way to go as well.
