As per my previous question on the other thread; are you sure this is a 1965 door, or is it a later replacement?
    Thanks

Sorry for not seeing this earlier...this is an actual 1965 door, not a replacement..still have it and it can be delivered to Hershey in a couple of weeks

Thanks for your answer: I am interested in the 2-digit stamping on the door (88).
On my car, one door has the original door with the 3-digit VIN stamping whereas the other door has a 2-digit stamping.
I am pretty sure the 2-digit door was a replacement in the early 1970s, hence my question about the 2-digit stamping.
Just asking as I don't know the protocol on 3-digit vs 2-digit stamping.
My engine cover is not original to the car, but it came with provenance off a 1966 car and it is stamped with 2-digits...

I was told the 88 indicated it was made by Karmen
