Average cost to CRATE & SHIP a motor from CA to FL

Does anyone have a ballpark figure for me so I can get an idea of what something like this would cost?

It's a longblock so a little lighter than a complete motor w/ carbs and everything but probably not much. Actually better to err on the heavier side. Thanks for any help. If you can break out the crating and shipping cost it would be appreciated, again, just a ballpark.

I drop shipped a similar engine from Oregon to NC using Estes and I want to say it was around $200.

I had an engine picked up in South Carolina and dropped shipped to Fresno, CA two years age. It was complete with "other stuff." The cost was $560 to include packing.

call Engine shippers direct. They have shipped many engines for me. I would estimate it would be $400-500.

Awesome, thank you guys very much, I really appreciate the help. I did need a recommendation too as you could tell for a shipper so thanks. I wasn't having much luck finding anyone willing to crate the motor, I will call them right now. I needed to quote a guy this morning so this helps a bunch.

I had a complete 2.4 motor shipped a similar distance but the other direction - from Central Canada to Oregon. Around $600 when you took out the border fees. We crated it ourselves with plywood and mounting fixtures to make sure we didn't have a problem at the other end as we weren't using a specialist engine shipper.

Engine Shippers is not coming up as a name of a company for some reason. Do any of you have a contact for them somewhere in Orange County preferably where I can drop off to have crated and shipped? Or is it engineshipping.com? That pops up, but not engine shippers.

Fastenal, the commercial hardware company, is in the shipping business also. They want to fill vacant space in their trailers. They will deliver to the local store that has a fork lift, if shipping crates or engines. It may take a day or so longer, as space is available.
Go to their site look for --- 3pl ------ 3rd party logistics ? and submit the request for a quote.
Significantly cheaper than Forward Air and Engine Shippers Direct by a bunch. My recent experience shipping a transmission (Seattle to Miami via Forward Air = $350.00 -- Fastenal = $250.00 -- Engine Shippers = $650.00)
They recently quoted $200.00 for a crate 48"x40"x40", 450 lbs valued @ $3,500.00 from Seattle to Charleston WV.
They must love the drop in diesel fuel prices.
