    FS: @eBay - 1956 Porsche 356A Coupe

Remember back when these cars weren't worth anything and people did crazy things with them, like dirt track them maybe? That is my guess with Chassis 57236, based on the wide flared out fenders. This car was someone's fun car, that's for sure! Ironically, it is probably one of the rarest A coupes around, from the short lived batch of European script cars. Porsche, for a very short time, badged cars European and Continental, depending on if they went stateside or were destined for delivery in Europe. Apparently, Lincoln didn't like Porsche using Continental and Porsche stopped the badging. So a super rare car, and someone abused it to no end, remember I said think about the days when these were just old foreign cars. Chassis 57236 comes with engine 62842 and what is pictured, nothing more and nothing less. Someone has started on the restoration, it looks like car was probably bead blasted and the floors were cut out. My guess would be the front end had a lot of body filler over the craters, but once blasted showed what the metal really looked like below, surprise! Bottom line is this car will need a complete restoration but is a rare car that is well worth the time, effort, and money to bring it back. Don't miss out.
