I see a lot of water pumpers, air cooled 911's seem few and far. I frequently drive thru Wet U, Memorial, Med Ctr and see more Porsche products then I can count its unbelievable. I can go weeks without seeing a pre 90 P car.

    any? or early ones?

to get real info, send an information request to the DMV - tell them it is for a vintage car club and you do NOT want any personal info - they will charge you nothing or a little to rip a reort off their computer system

Gawd, who knows. I live on the west side of Houston and 996/997/991s are everywhere. Very rarely do I see an 80's 911, never a 70's and never a 60's. Then again, I have neighbors with some really cool classics in their fourth garage, and I never see them driven - even on the prettiest of days. I don't understand who buys a cool old Porsche, BMW, or Jag and then never drives it.

If you are an Early S member, you get a roster of early cars registered every year. Population in order is Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin.

Note: this is from population according to census, Not Porsche cars.

Interesting. Of course this morning, I drove past a 964 Turbo on the way to work. Pretty red one. Figures.

You can send a request to Michael Hammond at the registry. He sends it out each year. I think it's a PDF now, if I recall. I'll look for mine.
