Early NOS tires...how do I price

I just removed four NOS tires (from an early set of 15 x 6 fuchs dated 72-73) that never were used. They are Goodrich Comp TA 70V tires. 185/70/OVR 15
Date stamped 12 4 which suggests the 12th week of 1974.

I don't think or remember comp TA tires out in 74, I would guess 84 or 94! Can you consider removed from wheels? NOS? Maybe $30 ea just older tires not original tires! JMO Jim

Ok...the tire shop that removed the tires noted that they were mounted...but never used, or for that matter, never exposed to the sun. He...the tire shop expert suggested that the tires were NOS.

Dot# was introduced in the late 70s to be used from the 80s on.
So they must be 84,94 or 2004

Be careful. When they're this far out of date they're not safe.

My local shop won't mount a tire over 7 years old unless I tell them they are for car shows only. And even then they only do it because they've known me a long time.

The tire shop is misusing the term "NOS".

Ok, so the concensus is "used" and obviously not safe. Bummer to just recycle these. If anyone has a use for these, let me know...they are in my way. My preference would be local pickup.

Tire shops arent allowed to mount tires older than 5 years old. I've tried.
