Boxster door panel trunk pulls locked

1998 Boxster. My door panel pulls are stuck in the lock position. Are they controlled by the ECU? A body shop friend took the cover off and somehow freed them up. lasted a couple of weeks. I can get in the deck lid with my remote key but need to fix this. Thanks all!

Actually, this forum is for all other Porsche Passions other than 73- prior.

Otherwise wed've kicked those 964ers off of here long ago.

The post was moved here, OP originally posted it in the regular tech section.

Central locking is controlled by the Alarm Control Unit under the driver's seat. Push the central locking button on the dash ... do the doors lock and unlock? If not, then pull the driver's seat, unclip the alarm control unit, and check the 15A mini fuse. If the car still runs and drives but the central locking isn't working I'd bet the fuse is blown.

But there's so much information missing from your post that I'm not going to bet money on anything.

Typically you should be able to unlock the door with a pull of the interior handle, a second pull will then open the door. If your doors are locked and you pull the handle and nothing happens then you have other issues.
