    FS: 2.7L Twin Plug Engine

Up for sale is a 2.7L twin plug engine. It is available as a complete motor – from air box to exhaust flanges (no muffler, but flywheel and clutch ARE included) – or as a long block. It is currently installed in my client’s 72T hotrod, but he no longer has a need for this motor. Compression and leak down numbers available upon request.

The motor was built approximately 5 ½ years ago and has covered approximately 7500mi in that time. TLG did not build this motor, and there are no build records available beyond what the client has told me. The car spent a few years in Europe, and when it returned I pulled the motor/trans and disassembled the car. During that time – about a year or so ago – I took the motor down to a long block and sorted the fuel injection and ignition issues, stopped various oil leaks, adjusted the valves, and re-dressed the motor. It is an absolutely fantastic runner and is a pleasure to drive; this is a VERY good example of what a 2.7L engine should be.

    Engine Size: 2.7L
    Case: 7R
    Compression Ratio: unknown
Case Mods: shuffle pinned; case savers; oil bypass modification
    Crankshaft: standard/standard

    Intake Ports: 37mm
Valve Train: Aasco springs w/titanium retainers
    Camshafts: DC60
    Distributor: Burn Bros. Twin Plug
MFI: 2.4T modified to suit current application; injection pump warm-up regulator replaced with manual rack adjustment set to “warm” position
    Exhaust: European Headers by George
    Fan Shroud: Series900 amber fiberglass
226mm Fan & Housing: Restored by Mark Mottshagen

    Complete engine: $27,000 obo
    Long block: $20,000 obo

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm not at liberty to disclose that information at this time...

Marco do you have any dyno numbers? Do you happen to know who built it?

I don't have a dyno sheet on the motor, but it was initially assembled by Tyson Schmidt.
