'66 shift knob -- Orig or Repro?

I'm thinning my out of control shift knob collection. This one came out of car, and I have no idea of its provenance.

Thoughts on whether this is original or a reproduction? I'm sure there's a discussion of this on the site, but I can't find it as relating to the '66 knobs.

    Thanks, Joe

Need to see a better shot of the shaft opening, is it flat or rounded edge. Also does the surface have a brown tint to it?

Seems to me the threads should be farther in, closer to the knob.

Will post another pic. Has rounded edge. Only a few threads at the opening. Then threads near the top (inside) of the knob. No brown tint. If original, it's in great shape.
