I do not understand the outrage; yes a sad incident but, it is a car that was wrecked no one died.... Put it in the right hands it will look good as new..... Why bash BHCC so harshly?

I believe George is doing well.....

This was the red flag to me. If you don't think that BHCC knows the car's history then perhaps you could make the case for their innocence. On the other hand, they (or someone else) did just enough camouflage to the wreck to make it look semi-presentable. There was no attempt to fix this car, simply to dress it up in order to ask $90k for it. Behavior like this is bad for the hobby. This is considerably worse than a 'fluff and flip', and I see no reason we can't or shouldn't discuss it here.

Godspeed to George in his recovery.

I'm with Frank... its an object....

Am much more concerned about the recovery of the former owner ... who is an enthusiast just like the rest of us... who loves the cars and loved this one.

I really don't understand all the fuss about this. Cars are driven, cars get wrecked. Glad to hear the driver is doing well. He obviously didn't want to buy the car back from the insurance company, he would have had first dibs. BHCC bought the car and now want to sell it. Anybody who is a perspective buyer probably already knows the story behind the car. It looks to me like it could be made whole again, its just metal. You think every car that won Indy or Daytona was a virgin?

I've never had the privilege of owning a virgin......(car) that is....C-mon.......All been used and abused old metal for me.

Can someone fill in the new guy about the "accident"?
