    which material is used for steering linkage cover 901.347.077.30

    Dear all,

    I always do wonder which material was used for fabricating the steering linkage cover 901.347.077.30, and if this material has changed over the years.

    It does look like Bakelit . . .?
    Any infos about it?

    I think only the early cars have this. It looks like you have an early 912. Can you tell me the build date? I have early 911 #300717 and it has this as well. See the last two pages of this thread linked below. You also have the long drain tube which we have also been discussing
