    WTB: 73 short red trumpet horn

    I need a short trumpet horn in red as fitted to mid and late 73 models.

    Does not need to work I just want a half decent trumpet please as transplanting the trumpet onto
    a NOS stock black horn from 1977

    by "trumpet" is this what you mean ? unfortunately I don't have one for sale but am interested to know when the switch from the banjo type took place.

    May have been sometime in Dec. of '72 as there was a member here with a Dec. of '72 built car with red trumpets claiming they were original. I have a lone red trumpet but will have to dig it out. Not sure if its the long one or the short one though. Will get ahold of you when I find it. Perhaps we can work a trade since I need red banjos

    Not sure if these horns are what you're looking for. I picked them up for my '69 but of course they are not correct.

    If the one on the right is the short horn yes that's what I am after

    I only need the plastic so don't care if it works just need to be sure the plastic isn't broken and would clean up OK
