    swb Rear wheel bearing spacer

The two bearing on swb cars are seperated by a spacer tube with two holes and a flat side. I need help to place the spacer tube correct again when replacing the inner and outer bearing.

Does the flat side point downwards against the hub face or?

more about the matter here: http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...=inner+bearing

    thanks

The factory manual says place the flanged end toward the inner bearing.

Look at the spacer. You'll notice one end is a bit 'larger' and has a 'lip' machined in. That is the 'flanged' end.

As Brian said....the flange on one end is about 1mm high and 5mm deep....that goes toward the inner bearing.
