    911R seat grommets

Before I go to the trouble of forensic sourcing or fabricating, anyone know if these exist?
The small aluminum ones for the headrest reinforcement, not the brass "breathers".

McMaster Carr doesn't show anything that I can find.

    Thanks

I just needed these for the screw that holds the cover on over the seat belt reels. I found my local hardware store had a surprisingly good selection, in aluminum, SS, and nickel-plated brass. Different sizes available; I found one that matched perfectly.

The originals had some petals underneath in the gap between the inner and outer rings. That is either due to the manufacturing process, or they were there to offer some surface area to take pressure off the edges of the grommet so it wouldn't cut through the material. The new ones didn't have that, but it's easy enough to fill the space if desired.

Jeff, these are actually pretty large; about 13.5mm in diameter. Much larger than upholstery grommets.

My preference would also be to find the fully encapsulated style that the Germans were so fond of using.

Yeah, that big ain't happening in the hardware store bins. If you do a search for "countersunk finishing washer" you may find some options.
