swb wood steering wheel w/ horn pad

very nicely redone swb wood wheel. more than perfect for a drivers quality car. wood sanded and new poly put on. refreshed satin black paint. leather horn replaced. slight splitting in spots on wheel, NO LOOSE WOOD, very firm. horn has a stress crack shown in picture, due to previous owner probably improperly removing the horn sometime in the last 50 years of its life. it doesn't affect the horns operation at all, still works fine as it should. overall 8+ condition.

$1500total shipped to the lower 48

willing to ship international at additional costs.

no date stamp, just the stamping in the pic below. obviously it wasn't made in '58 so im not sure how to decipher the code.

"horn has a stress crack shown in picture, due to previous owner probably improperly removing the horn sometime in the last 50 years of its life"

    Or due to excessive honking/roadrage

What does NOT having a date stamped on the wheel means? Is it still original? Where was it restored?

yes its original. every wood wheel ive seen has a similar four digit stamping on the center similar to mine shown. I don't know and haven't been told by someone with better knowledge as to what it means. its not a date stamp, some sort of part number. I did the refresh myself.
