    65-67 Radio Delete plate

    Hi,

Has there been any original 1965-67 radio delete plates on the market recently? I have one unused with original attachment parts and consider selling it. It has few scratches from it´s ~50 years storage but overally nice item. Any estimates or recent sold prices?

I recall a fairly recent thread about these. Don't remember if value was discussed. Think it was a 356 carryover limited to the earliest 912 cars with painted dash, rendered superfluous with aluminum, wood and basketweave applications.

I think the bottom might have fallen out when good quality reproductions became available. http://www.sierramadrecollection.com...68-p24624.html

    For all those loyal to Satanic details, in "repro" parts/other utilizing the P O R S C H E script style logo...look at the "R". A straight leg "R" is not correct. The original P O R S C H E script logo has a curved leg "R".

The incorrect logo is generated from a generic Porsche font commonly available on the web.

For most people, it's "good enough"...and that's fine.

I had the opportunity to see an original 'Delete Plate' from Porsche this past weekend, at an all German Car Show, and took several detailed photos of it.

The low serial numbered , very early Stuttgart bodied 912 had this same little detail as shown by Bob...... the owner having retained this since he took possession of the car as a nearly new car.

He proudly showed the original tool kit, all the original seat surfaces, paint, and every other thing, including documents kept together during its journey from 1965.

Thanks for bringing all our attentions to this trivial, yet important detail of originality Bob.
    Best Regards,

Would you supply a photo of the plate & attachment pieces?.....cliff
I`m mostly interested in the attachment pieces as I have an original plate ....the repros look good until some shared the differences from N O S original

Only Porsche guys are this crazy. I have looked at BMW, Alpha, Ferrari, etc forums and none of those folks are so down in the weeds as us Porsche guys. These old cars are an amazing hobby/obsession.
