    911T 1973.5 VIN 9113101501 history research

VIN 9113101501. I have just bought that 911T 1973.5 car with a CIS engine. Unfortunately, no US/Canadian history exists from 1973 to 2006. I only have the info since it was imported to Europe in 2006, i.e. owners, title, etc. Does anyone have more info, US/Canadian title, owners, docs, maintenance records, etc. on the car prior to 2006?

Since I have become so passionate about that 911 I would very much appreciate any help in that matter from the forum.

    Thanks in advance

    M.

    First research result/additional question:

    - delivery to Porsche Audi Dealer in Hollywood, CA (name not known, maybe 'Bob Smith'?) on March 23, 1973. Was 'Bob Smith' the only Porsche Audi dealer in the area at that time?

cool! the first 73.5 T please post more photos, engine compartment ect to compare early details of these cars with others.
you could try checking the owner records as to which city/state the car has been in previously, where its from, a bit of research from local clubs might produce leads
its a stunning and very noticeable color, it might ring a bell to someone here on the forum.
    congratulations they are great cars.

Wow! --- what a way to join us . . . the very first CIS 'T'. Did you know that when you purchased it?

And I strongly second Richard's comments . . . show/describe some more details of your car, when you can

(You might help more people than can help you)

nice yellow - which one is it?

for PO info, you can try PCA and write to the last registered DMV to get any non-private info; OR, WA and CA will also mail a letter you write to the last known address of the registrant they have on file (for a small fee)

Unbelievable - today I have made a major step towards documents history completion. What happened: when I started my research I had also contacted the first german owner. When he replied he had a big surprise by telling me that he still holds the original maintenance record booklet with some maintanence invoices. Today I received the little package with the docs They state two owner names in the US (see invoices in dropbox-link): Scott Lavitt in the 80's and Gregg A. Smith in the early 90's.

See also more detailed pics of the car.

Does anyone know one of the previous owners? More background info?
