Mike, that would be the ultimate in censorship!
Who is the seller hurting besides himself with such a brief ad?
You and Clarke need to think about what you're saying: Sellers have NO OBLIGATION to put any more into an ad than description, price, and contact info. Technology DOES NOT change the basic principles of selling and buying. Remember the old days when we used to shop for cars in the newspaper? We got along just fine doing it that way. You guys are beating Anthony up simply because he's old school?
You are coming from a very entitled position. Not good. Let the seller reap what he sows.

Thank you.
It can be said that this type of tactic does sort the wheat from the chaff. The truely interested would just pick up the phone which I'm sure has been ringing off the hook.
My only critique of his ad would be the lack of location of the car but, then again one doesn't have to be too astute to work it out with a fair probability from the area code in the phone number.

I actually saw the ad first on Rennlist and thought the guy was brilliant. Then saw his ads here (He's selling an 87 as well.) I decided to call him and we chatted for 10 minutes. Nice guy who sounded like an amateur curber. Neither car was for me.
Michael is absolutely right. Anymore there are soooo many time wasters and picture collectors why wouldn't a seller make buyers jump through hoops first?
Back in the olden days, I found my car in a local newspaper ad (SF Chronicle). I had to use my phone to call the owner as the Internet did not exist yet.

I miss the days of Autotrader and using Thomas Guide.
...what about the Sunday LA Times classified. If you were looking for an Ess car, you needed to get the classified section Friday, right after it was printed, and take care of BIZ before Sat.morning. The Japanese had big $$ and it was literally a foot race to get to owners.
