Interesting. Do you have any more details? Color?

Could this car have been ordered in RHD as Sweden was still driving on the left in 1966?

This is the closet VIN to my own car that I have seen and could have been built in August 66 alongside mine.

    Thanks

Mike do you know of what has become of the RHD UK 67S winched out of the Idaho farm field? It languished hub deep in Victor Idaho for years.. I even saw it running at times. Then it disappeared back to the UK I think.

    Hi Steve,

Was this a bahama yellow 67S repainted blue?

That is right. In Lycksele. A LHD in polo red. Delivered from the factory on 8 September 1966.

Yes Mike that is the car. It had fiberglass front fenders and was blue over Bahama.

    Hi Steve

This car was indeed shipped to the UK and the buyer was a very infrequent visitor to DDK (has not been on there for years now) but I did have a couple of phone calls with him to discuss his plans for the car just after he took delivery from the US. I believe he had previously restored a lhd 67S and it seemed he was capable of the work needed to this car. However, the last I heard was that he had sold it unrestored to another UK buyer and effectively the car has gone underground. I’ve no doubt it will surface at some point but I have not seen any links to it anywhere. I don’t believe it has touched base with any of the normal restoration shops here otherwise I’m sure I would have heard something. If it is a home resto and still in this country that makes 12 examples in the UK only 5 of which are on the road. (At the last count). Of the 7 under restoration I have information on them all I think apart from this one. If I hear of anything with this car I’ll post up details.

    Regards
    Mike

Thank you Mike. At the time I last saw the car a restoration would have been a daunting task. Hope fully it resurfaces; indeed a rare car.
