after 54 years a near rustfree bodywork, 100% untouched and unmolsted.
We closed 3 small holes and a new front indicator frame, that‘s it.

Really nice car Christian. Thx for sharing pics. Worthy of its own thread, as you mentioned possibly starting.

the antenna on the passenger side usually indicates it is a power antenna. but on a very early 911 do not know if it was available. Chris

only a suggestion. Perhaps the antenna was mounted in 1968 after the car went to the states ?

Kardex only show Webasto as option and no radio infos.

But i’m pretty sure it was the only antenna which was mounted,
no other hole, correct period model and condition show it was very long in the car.

While the underneath finish got a new lease on, we mounted the cleaned antenna a little bit better.

Hi Christian, how have you been able to get it down to bare metal? Dry ice blasting probably isn't strong enough.

It was iceblasting! The original protection was still on the car and on this base there was some additional bitum
and dirt, it was a lot of work but result was perfect just with iceblasting.
