    Marissa's first autocross

This past weekend I enrolled my 19 year old grand daughter in her first autocross school and autocross the following day. My goal was if nothing else to at least give her some idea of car control, whether she took up this hobby long term or not. It couldn't have been better, she loved it, listened to her instructors, yakked with the other students, and when i rode with her for her course runs Sunday, I found out that when I said "gas, gas, gas" SHE DID!! Even had a little 'tank slapper' that didn't faze her one bit! And she turned some very respectable times for her first event!! The next autocross will be while I'm at Parade,,,,no problem Marissa said, "I'll just get Mom to come with me and use her Porsche" Needless to say, 'gran pa' has already ordered a helmet for her!

Being able to handle a car confidently/well 's one o' those Life Skills, ya know?

    And having an encouraging Grampa --- + a Porsche (+ a stick) . . . helps

    Good for you, Ed!
