    '66 Pedal cluster

I'm rebuilding my 1966 pedal assembly. Is replacing the roll pin a requirement? I removed the original pin using a punch. However the new pin will not go in. Should I take the unit to a shop and press it or continue using the original?

    Thank you.

My old one went out quite smoothly as well, they can be very nasty sometimes. I put the old one back in and as long as there is enough resistance when driving back in I don't see a problem.

if you got the old one out with reasonable effort, and it fits the new assembly tightly, it wouldn't seem necessary to make your life complicated. i had to use a torch to heat my assembly enough to drive my roll pin out with a punch, so i didn't trust mine.

Many roll pins sold are Yankee not metric, get one from Porsche or a known source.
