    Hopefully a little inspiration.

Trying to give a little inspiration to those who are into the hard part of redoing a car. I have had this car for almost 5 years and only drove it on and off a trailer while sitting on a milk crate until last week. I have redone several Porsches, but never for myself until this one..
So good luck and stay with it..

Car looks very nice, is there more to the story... how did you come to own the car?
    Regards,

Of course there is more to the story, isn’t there always?
I owned a 76 911 for over 13 years, it was a good car but I really learned to like the long hoods after working on many of them over the years. A customer had this car for sale and it was in a project state.
I combined all the best parts from my 76 that I had been upgrading over the years and all the best early parts from the 70, plus A LOT of new parts. I was able to sell off all the parts that I did not use from both cars and it paid for the long hood purchase, free tub!!
I wanted a hot rod feel to the car so it is by no means stock. Built the way I wanted it and I plan to drive it regularly. Everything except paint and the engine reseal was done by me in my home garage, so I hope it gives some inspiration to others.

    Mark..

Well I'm about 10 months in. I completed the Engine and gearbox, and returned it to proper MFI specs. Many of the sub assemblies I have finished. I am now in the phase of heavy metal work, so rockers, suspension pan, all the floors, and pedal box area. It's a long road, but I'll get there someday.

As they say it's all about the journey. Enjoy the process as challenging as it may be and post your progress from time to time.
    Thanks,
