    Sportomatic clutch reline

Can anyone confirm (by measuring a NOS) the thickness of a Sportomatic clutch plate for a 925 gearbox please ?

These are now NLA and we are having one refaced

There does not appear to be any factory information, regarding this

We have had them re lined but we take them all the parts and have the pressure plate and flywheel resurfaced then they can re line the disc to take up for what has been machined.

This is from the factory Technical Specifications booklets.
1972-73 Models booklet, page 44; 1974 Models booklet, page 38; 1975 Models booklet, page 36; 1976-77 Models booklet, page 34; 1978-81 Models booklet, page 50; etc...

    Transmission Clutch - Sportomatic

    Clutch plate with riveted lining

    Free thickness (new): 7.3mm +/-0.4
Wear limit: 5.5mm (when worn evenly)
    Permissible lateral runout: max 0.5mm

    Free thickness means not compressed.
The only difference through the years was the tolerance when new, from +/-0.4mm to +/-0.25mm in later booklets.
