    I was thinking since some of the silver targa car sheetmetal was marked 'early', but the gas tank sender was marked 69, it must be a 69, but that's sketchy logic at best.

    I suspect it is earlier, but without a VIN or someone more knowledgeable weighing in, I can't say for sure.
