    Webasto question?

Living in AZ, I don't really need the extra heating capacity however I wouldn't mind a little extra air through the cabin. Can the unit be used as just a fresh air blower? Has anyone used it for this and is it worthwhile to get it going? Thanks in advance, I've never used or seen one in action. For reference, its the original heater in my July built 65, I know there's a difference in the heaters.

I have no experience with this, but noticed in last ESSES (Reincarnation of a silver bullet) that Brian restored his webasto so he can use it as an auxiliary fan. Maybe worth checking with him??

If you just pull out the knob to the first position it acts as a blower. It doesn't move a whole lot of air though.

Here's the section in the owners' manual:

Thanks Jim, After commenting that they don't move allot of air, I think it's a mute point for me to pursue it right now. Thanls for the help.

Actually, mine blows a fair bit of air, and that has much to do with the careful restoration and operation of the manual "cowl flap" and rain bucket. Getting these things sealed up and operating properly makes a big difference, and the blower definitely helps.
Plus, as noted, it's already set up to act as an auxiliary fan. Simple.
