FS: Original SWB Hockey Puck horn button (or for your RS Clone)

Here's a great Hockey Puck that is crack free and the leather is near perfect. At some point in time the base was repainted black but I got most of that off with my finger nail (Full disclosure). I kept this from a '66 that I bought recently so I could use it on my vw project but some other things came up so I'm listing stuff tonight (I bought a bus). The only thing it's missing is the Rubber Horn Cuff. They're $7.00 from AASE. The Chrome ring was painted black and some of that paint has chipped off. Other than the missing horn cuff and chrome ring, this is of fantastic quality and completely original.

Has this hockey puck been taken apart any parts missing? Are there any missing tabs on the chrome ring, there are 2 different chrome rings one is very rigid and hard to get off and one is a lot softer easy to get of but also easy to break off the tabs. Sent you a PM but never heard back on this.

Hey Mike, Sorry I didn't get the PM before. I did get the one from today though. I replied but to answer here as well so everyone knows.....

I was going to take it apart and once I felt how difficult it was going to be to pry the tab I stopped. It wasn't worth cracking or breaking anything to take it apart. That being said, I believe it's the very rigid and hard to remove type To answer your question... I attempted and stopped. There are no cracks or breaks either on the ring or the plastic. It really would be a perfect horn button if the chrome ring was redone.
