Thread: Slow Wipers?

  1. #1

    Slow Wipers?

my wipers seem slow - and are definitely slower than in my japanese daily driver

I put a ?? on the title because I'm not sure how fast they should be - I have cleaned all the contacts on the motor (and the motor itself) since I had the blower assembly out for a refurb

    - any ideas on how fast it should be? anybody ever time the thing, or compare it to other cars?

Have you checked the condition of the wiper shaft where it goes thru the body. High potential for rusty shaft slowing things down. unhook wiper assy. from motor and try turning wipers by hand.

Here's a short video of my wipers (on a 1965 Porsche, engine not running, your mileage may vary)...

At least I hope it works, it's my first try at this.
