Road to Trip to Carmel for Historics Week

Am driving my non AC 911 from Scottsdale to Carmel again this year. Figure to leave on Saturday before and follow the route imbedded. Wondering if there are any who want to join me in Scottsdale or along the way. I am hopeful the link is actually the link

    My Inspiration

    '86 44 Turbo, black/red,7's and 8's fuchs, autothority - sold (rocketship)
'97 Boxster, first delivered in DC Metro, silver/red -sold (huge mistake to buy this one)
'99 C2, silver/black, RoW M030, limited lip, short shift - sold (good ride, but...)

    '69 912, 3.2 with all the trimmings
    (finally got air cooled)

Thought that i might bump this up again to see if i can get any interest in this little road trip. Think i have settled on a basic route to see if anyone wants to join from the Phoenix metro or along the way. Sat 8 Aug will roll pretty early, 430 or so to beat some of the heat. Scottsdale to Wickenberg, Parker, Needles, Barstow. Thinking of taking 395 in CA to Lake Isabella. Overnight there. Down to either Paso Robles or Arroyo Grande for another overnight then roll PCH into Carmel on Monday. There is a pretty boring slug along the 40 from Needles to Barstow and the run from Barstow to the 395 turnoff at Boron is not so scenic either. But not much choice if i go this NW route from Scottsdale.
