So if I wanted to have a pair of originals re-chromed, who should I call? I've got one pair in particular that looks like good candidates as the chrome is dull and/or maybe missing, but the castings are not pitted.

I know of Tru-6, but is there anyone on the West coast?

These are REALLY hard to get done to an acceptable standard as so many chrome shops refuse to work on pot metal. Brown's plating used to do it for me but they're long gone. As is Custom Cast Chrome who did pot metal work if they liked you. Shaun at Tru-6 is the only guy I use now. Haven't had him do any horn grilles for me but wouldn't hurt to ask him.

A couple of years ago I sent my horn grills to Paul’s Chrome Shop in Evans City, PA. They quoted a price of $625 to rechrome the pair. I bought a new set instead.
