Original Cibie Bi-Iode Headlight Set - restored

    +++++++++ SOLD +++++++++
As mentioned earlier I found a set of Original Cibie Bi-Iodes that went on our car.
Well that was not the whole story... I actually found 2 NOS sets over time and had a used set beeing restored.
That used set was out to the LampenDoctor, but he did not work on them for more than a year and I had them returned to me.
Through a friend, a couple months later I found another shop that restores lights and I hand the Bi-Iodes sent to them, expecting it to take another year.
It only took them 6 weeks turnaround including shipping up and down. So these were suddenly on my doostep yesterday.
I already had a nice set of outer units prepaired for them, but made a NOS assemby for the car in the mean time.
This is a set that I will sell now its surplus, but it won't go for little money, need the cash to have the ST project taken to the next step.

    The set is the following:

An original Hella SWB sealed beam headlight set that does not have the city light in the outer buckets. (that is the rarer set of the two versions)
    * Buckets inner + outer are blasted and Powedercoated in Grey.
    * New Chrome Trim Rings with nice used Slotted adjustment screws. (Long and short one like the originals)
    * Original Hella SB19 20 21 lenses that are in really nice condition. (On average I've thrown away 4 out of 5 because they are all sand blasted, these are almost without)
    * Restored set of original Cibie Bi-Iodes (These probably have been on a Ford Escord MK1, because there is a slight sandblasting on the lenses)
    * New Bosch lens seals. ($18 a piece...)

All in all a very rare set of light in the correct configuration as the factory 911R, 911ST and 911RSR's use to run.
This is probably the rarest headlight set you can get.

    I could be interested.
If possible just let me check with my mechanic if we need one more spare.
    Thank you!

Both cibie and marchal 7" lights were with and without city lights. It was mandatory in many countries in europe if you did not have separate city lights on your car. The first Bosch H4 lights for 73 911 did not have the city light while the 74 did, because with the impact bumper change there was no separate city light anymore.
There is also a picture of the yellow red stripe ST with 911R turnsignals in plastic covers in the front fenders that has bi-iodes, where they drilled extra city lights in the outer buckets of the headlights. One of my NOS sets have them too, the other does not. I believe it is just a later production thing.

    Alex,
I checked, I already have a spare set, so I don't need it.
But congrats for the sets, really very nice!
