Actual location varies some from car to car. Believe they where just hand applied while the car moved down the line, just need to get it in the approximate area.
You should be able to google it and find tons of photos.

As in where if not there? They were all applied on the B pillar 69- till at least the 90s, maybe later as well? Im not up on the 993-on cars as much.

    . . . if we're talking about a NA car

Euro-market cars won't have a sticker on their B-pillar --- or a tag on their A-pillar . . . at least not from the Faktory

This is an OG Euro car + personal import . . . VIN tag was added later, at some point . . .

From what I can research the term “Passenger Car” on the tag as shown above and also on my 73 , but 71 and maybe 70 did not have that as the first line ? Can someone also verify .

Several posts here and the Bird suggest there was no precise location but I found an original 71 and was able to blow up until the size matched the label, measured from the bottom where the offset curve at sill and the dimension off the vertical along the gasket . Used these dimensions to position mine.
    So maybe acceptable

These were US cars as is mine
Sully’s position matches locations I have seen
