What's the trick (seat belt plastic trim/bolt)?

    Hi all-

I must be doing this wrong. How are the seat belt ends bolted in place without destroying the plastic trim?

17mm open head wrench. It is slow but that's all that can be done

Keep doing what you're doing,,,,push enough belt through that plastic surround and you can easily get to the bolt head.

I just started taking the interior out of my 69S last week, and I am stuck here too. I don't know how Ron got to the point he shows in the pic above. The metal piece hangs down farther than the hole in the cover?? Seems that there is no way to pull the metal bracket and the plastic piece on the left of it out of the cover? Any help appreciated.
