73S - sugar scoop headlamp bezel gasket question

Per the attached photo, I have what I believe may be the wrong gasket that goes between the sugar scoop bezel and the fender lamp opening. PET seems to show a thinner seal up to 72, but does not show one for the 73...so not sure one is even called for as the bezel seems to fit nice without it (but likely not weatherproof), and does not fit well at all with the thick rubber ring shown in the photo. Any clarification would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure what we use there are the 356 gaskets from I.M. (Intl. Merc.) they are thinner!

Ed - thank you for the reply. Hopefully they are indeed thinner...such was promised with the trunk seal I recently purchased and it turned out being the same product that Porsche sells (even in the Porsche bag) so now I have two trunk gaskets that are trash .
