    Consider the thread started . . .

    Friday, 14-Aug . . .

'. . . The Porsche Club of America will hold its second annual Werks Reunion Friday, August 14, 2015. It is the premier Porsche event and will take place during the world-famous "Monterey Car Week" on California's Monterey Peninsula. In years past, PCA co-hosted Legends of the Autobahn at the Rancho Canada Golf Club. Attendees will be treated to a stunning display of more than 500 Porsches and vendor booths, and the camaraderie of fellow car enthusiasts. The 2015 show will feature the latest Porsches, special vehicle presentations, celebrity guests, and a surprise or two . . .'

So we made some improvements from year one....

we have more parking on the grass
we've increased our toilet allocation and gotten better quality ones (think fancy)
Old caterer gone, now we have a mix of food trucks and vendors. No pre-ordering necessary. We'll still have beer available.

John Z was soliciting suggestions for improvements, at one point

I had one Big One that I wanted to suggest

    Instead of parking all the cars squared-up + side-by-side . . .

. . . what about angling everyone, like ~45 degrees or so?

Has a bunch of advantages, I think:
..1) makes it easier to actually see the cars. Side-by-side, all you can get a good/clear look at are the fronts + backs, pretty-much. Car Show = show the cars, right?
..2) makes it easier to get in-&-out of your car. When the cars are angled, you can open your doors w/o worrying about dinging the Guy next to you
..3) heck of a lot easier to move your car in-&-out!

I also think that you'll find you can get more cars into the allotted space, as well --- which . . . given the numbers of participants you can expect this year --- might come in handy

Glad to hear about the Roach Coa ---- er . . . food trucks, too

    Should be a great show!

Chuck, looking forward to it. Got my room in Carmel and have put my volunteer offer into PCA, but have not heard anything. Manny?? Anyone want to drive with me (I know I'm a bit touched with this idea) from Scottsdale/Phoenix to Carmel starting either Sat or Sun before? Thinking Wikenburg, Parker, Barstow, across to Santa Maria and then up PCH to Carmel. Not sure what to do about the return

    My Inspiration

    '86 44 Turbo, black/red,7's and 8's fuchs, autothority - sold (rocketship)
'97 Boxster, first delivered in DC Metro, silver/red -sold (huge mistake to buy this one)
'99 C2, silver/black, RoW M030, limited lip, short shift - sold (good ride, but...)

    '69 912, 3.2 with all the trimmings
    (finally got air cooled)
