'. . . Porsche exceeded its expectations with the 1976 Turbo coupe, selling 1,157 examples, with nearly 500 examples destined for the US. Costing $28,550, it was almost double the price of a 911 S. The 1977 models received power-brake boosters, fresh-air vents in the dash, and the Turbo got a pressure-boost gauge for the KKK Turbocharger located within the tachometer.

For 1977, 930s also gained larger wheels, going from 15″ to 16″ Fuchs with 7″ front and 8″ rear wheels. These vehicles were unmistakable with their front chin spoilers, flared fenders, and rear whale tail. Performance was staggering for the day, as the 930 Turbo could achieve 0–60 mph in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 152 mph.

The sunroof-optioned 930 Turbo on offer is described as a well-kept original that was first sold in San Diego and has remained there since new. In the hands of a previous, fastidious owner, the Turbo had extensive work performed on the fuel-injection system, and the air-conditioning is stated to blow cold. The 77 are nice cars as well- but the lack of a center console, the 15" wheels and the 180 MPH speedo make the 76 more desirable- also first year 930 was sold in US and a few less built for US market- 530 vs 727.

Hmm.
Lots of pros & a few cons.
I have a non-modded (aside from the shift knob and ugly tint) '77 930 w 95k that I'm going to be listing soon. 930 Prices are all over the map.
I don't want to overprice it and don't want to leave a bunch of $ laying on the table either.
It's not a garage queen, it's a survivor car with some wear and tear, normal for an 8 yr. old car, really great for a 37 yr. old car.

There are some serious questions that need to be answered about that car. Why does somebody repaint a car within the first 10 years, and not even 20K on the odometer? Either the owner was an absolute fool or the car was wrecked. I realize that some of these guys have more money than sense though. Interior looks original to me, although the seller states that the interior was changed. COA says brown and it looks brown to me. Wrong wheels. If I was going to drop 195K, I would need to answer those questions for sure.

Saw Peters car yesterday when I was at his shop in Seattle. One of the better colors in my opinion. Good luck with your sale Peter and to hell with Banner Bank.
