    1965 history

    Hi All

I'm really excited about my 1965 911 arriving in the UK from the USA, should be here early August, a dream come true.

Bought it unseen (risky I know) but hoping for the best. Would any of you guys be able to come up with a copy of the Kardex for the car, chassis number 301834 ? I was told that it is a 2 owner car, first owner (California) blew the engine in 1970 and sold the car that year to the second owner, again in California who binned the original engine and fitted a 67 engine replacement. He subsequently moved to Tennessee in 1984 and put the car in to storage from where I purchased it through a dealer.

Any help in its early history would be greatly appreciated.

P.S I'm looking for the original engine, number 901959. 1959 happens to be the wife's birth year ! I know the phrase 'needle in a haystack' springs to mind, but hey......

    Thanks

    Tim
