    FS: @RM Auctions Monterey - '65 first paint - No Reserve

    Hello guys, Think this baby needs an owne thread.

    Chassis no. 303093 Engine no. 903173 Gearbox no. 225422

    Selling with No Reserve:
    An incredibly original, first paint, never restored, short-wheelbase early 911
    Original matching-numbers drivetrain; completely original interior
    Includes factory owner’s manual, Certificate of Authenticity, and copy of the factory Kardex

    Heinz nothing personal, but the the listing reads:

    "He notes that the car is untouched and completely original inside and out. "

    That is a false claim IMHO:

    - oustide mirror 72? and up
    - chrome bezels around the switches
    - fog lights?
    - coil mounted to the fan assembly?

    Things that are easy to correct though.

    Hello, we keeped it as it was, as you sai, easy to change.
    Much more importent is the original And first paint total and the REALLY original interior.

    Dont forget, we talk About a 50 years old car ;-)

    Also this Car has it's owne Life...

    While we are making a list, let's not forget the '67 engine air cleaner/horn and seat material. That was just a cursory glance at a few photos, would need to see the car to comment on paint, etc. very very nice car but not untouched caveat emptor.cole

    All true. Amazed the auction house would list it as a 1965 despite the complete text commentary.

    From the text:

    "Its chassis number indicates that it was built prior to July of 1965"

    Umm... no.
