SWB front bumpers large light covers or small?

Have moved on from durant window location, to the front bumper.

Am interested to know when bumpers switched from the small holes for the lights to the larger holes? I have a bumper with smaller holes fitted to a SWB UK RHD 68S.

What would be the technically correct bumper?

    Hi Rich

I thought there was only one type of swb bumper so I am afraid I don't know what I am comparing them against? LWB bumpers are different with different profile holes I believe although whether they are larger or smaller I am not sure (if I had to guess I would say swb are smaller); I am sure there will be someone on here who can give you a precise answer.

I don't believe the hole size changed, I believe there were two different type of covers, the early type that fit snugly inside the opening and bolted through one of the holes, and a later style that was bigger, and completely covered the opening and had a rubber gasket around it (Restoration Design makes a repro of this style). Not sure when the switch was, but my 67 had the late style on it.

I should have checked my Parts Catalogue in the first place, '68912' is correct in that there were two different covers for swb the original ones stopping at chassis 305100, they went from having what looks like an angled bracket on the rear of them to a cover that used a separate sealing strip and retaining strap/bar.
