    just got a freshening

Decided to fix the niggling issues that we bugging me. Here are a few pics of the results. Took it to Jack Doverspike at Stuttgart SW in Tempe and his body guy, Phil, worked some magic on the car. Front valance from Dave at TRE fit pretty well and had the oil cooler screen i was looking for. The one on the car was pretty ratty held on with just a couple of sheet metal screws through the face. Took the fuel filler off the fender and put it under the bonnet. I know this make refueling more difficult, but i like the way it cleaned up the fender. Decided not to do the center fill as there are a lot of those around.

The biggest change was to the rear. When the 3.2 went in, the car was in CA and did not need heater boxes. I took it back east and decided that heater boxes were required (and thankfully i did since i drove it to the AutoTrain from Richmond in about 15 degree weather). A stock SC muffler was sourced (free) and we modified it with the center outs. Problem was the rear valance had to be sliced horizontally to make the muffler fit, but even with that it started to yellow and melt a bit. Phil took a new rear valance, sectioned it horizontally , moved the bumper face out an inch or so to clear the muffler and then put it all back together. I sent a picture of the Singer rear valance and asked him to match. I think he did a great job. While i was at it put HID headlights in and LED's in the gauges. [/ATTACH]Name: IMG_1962.jpg
