    FS: 2.2E 180+hp MFI engine

    1971E 2.2 MFI
-Recently removed from car after about 16K miles since 2012.
-Suspect that it was rebuilt with 2.7 cylinders, strong runner, dyno attached.
-Motor probably has 166k miles on it but had full rebuild around 36k miles ago.
-Rebuild was in 1998 by Mike Heinz at Heinz Sports Car Service in Virginia.
-MFI reworked by Henry at Supertec 2012.
-Leak down #'s 8% across all cylinders. 2012

    $17,000 shipped in conus

    Thanks,
    Bud

This is a great running engine and well sorted. I can help Bud get current leakdown numbers if anyone wants them.

I can attest that this is a VERY strong engine. I have driven the 70 E with this engine installed. Last year I ran a rally through the NC mountains in a 74 Carrera with a built 3.0. This 70 E was behind me with this engine installed. I could not shake him off my tail. Eventually. I pulled over and asked to swap keys so I could drive the car with this engine. It pulls like a 2.7 or larger displacement engine. The next owner will be VERY happy. Thanks. T
