    WTB: 1968 911 smog pump

I need the twin rotor (Roots style) smog pump. It can be identified by the finned housing and the 2 round disc bearing covers that may have BOSCH embossed on them. reedspeed1@aol.com or 772-468-2144.

No you don't, not if you have a 911. The "roots" style pump only came on 68 912s. 911s got a Saginaw smog pump much like a Chrvrolet pump.

    Regards

It's a shame too cuz the 912 pump is kind of cool looking. The 911 pump on the other hand has to be the ugliest part ever put on a 911.

Although the red wing nut on the filter is pretty.

Yep, that nut is a homage to the red fan shrouds of an S. Brings joy to my heart...

I think that Arizona "dry heat" has finally gotten to you.
Smog pumps are "kind of cool looking". Seriously?
    Actually, I don't disagree.
I sold one to a guy a few years ago that was going to use it as a Supercharger on his Harley Sportster.
Another person bought one to use as a supercharger on his double overhead cam V8, 1/8th scale engine. That thing was really cool looking (the engine, that is)!

    Ciao

All that dough and missing the filter housing.

John, don't you have a complete system on your engine? You should post pics for the OP.
